John Hubbard is also being charged with Federal crime of transporting firearm into Hawaii. If you read the complaint I posted below, he had a lot of ammunition and marijuana. He has a marijuana medical prescription. He pointed his gun at three people. He stole a woman's cell phone and threw it into the bushes. He was charged with robbery for that.

"Additionally, according to a federal criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Honolulu, Hubbard will also face a single Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition charge. Federal agents are expected to take Hubbard into custody before a court appearance in Honolulu some time next week."

The Federal cases was filed June 1, 2018. U.S. District Court

Great interactive map of the lava flow. You can put in a specific address and see if they are affected.

06/02/2018 I added a lot of civil cases against Bill. He's had multiple restraining orders filed against him. He tried to file restraining orders against others and lost. He was also sued by the state for his business Hubbard Builders DBA. I think he was performing construction work without a contractor's license. He was also sued for fraud in relation to building. Civil cases are on the bottom. He does not have a contractor's license and has never had one in Hawaii. That means the cases against him by the state are for not having a license while performing construction work.

06/01/2018 This is what happened today in court. His next hearing is June 4, 2018 preliminary hearing. I'm sure it'll be continued. They dismissed without prejudice charge 8 and thereby reduced bail to $197,000. They could refile charge 8 if the DA wants to do so. It's COUNT: 8
FB HRS 134-7(b) Ownership or possession prohibited felon. He is a convicted felon illegally in possession of a gun. That is a big charge. I hope they refile it. It's on video. He is still in jail. As he has a public defender, I doubt he'll be able to afford bail or a private attorney. They should keep him in jail.

For the few who haven't seen this main video, here it is. He shoots over the head of the guy not considering there are people behind him. I went through police academy, humane academy, took advanced weapons training. You don't shoot above someone or into the air as the bullet has to land somewhere. You could accidentally kill someone. This has happened. John has no legitimate reason to suspect this person is looting or dangerous. He's not carrying a bag, items, weapons. He's just walking on a public road.

UPDATE 05/31/2018: He was denied a lower bail. His request not to have media in the hearing was also denied. The penalties will be higher because the events happened in an active lava zone putting first responders at risk. He also has quite a few priors. One is a drug charge from Kentucky involving marijuana. Another is a charge in Oregon for convicted felon possessing a gun. There are also local priors in Hawaii. They are for multiple vehicle code violations which are mainly very unsafe driving, tail gating, illegal passing... He is clearly a major road rager. His other charges are for harassment, lethal weapon and resisting arrest.

He stated he had to go to the hospital. I think he's now playing old and feeble when he's not. If you look at a link down below he has an extensive exercise regime. The guy is 6'8" and 238 lbs. The victim is not short. John is just very tall. John is Comey tall. He admitted to recently hiking up the volcano to look at the vents.

He is in custody at Hawaii Community Correctional Center. His offender ID is Offender ID T55809Q0 located at 919 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI, 96814, County: Multiple, Phone: (808) 587-1386

His father was Robert Ward Hubbard 1925-2011. He was a warden and a geological surveyor. His mother is Marcia Sherrell Schuman Hubbard. He has one brother, Donald and a sister, Robin. He was born in Missouri.

Still of a video of Bill's house taken May 28, 2018. I assume he's lost his home by now. Search "Bill Hubbard" at youtube.com and there are several videos of him. There are some from 2012 where he is spraying his neighbor with wasp spray, threatening a woman laying on the ground and beating on her fence. The neighbors said he's been harassing and attacking them for over ten years. If you look at his record below, that is indeed the truth. Bill's has been charged and convicted/pleaded guilty to those charges in the past. He's had multiple restraining orders against him.

May 28,2018 Bill's house. Had he not shot a gun at someone he could have evacuated more of his property. Instead he's in jail.
Bill Hubbard, John William Hubbard, hawaii, lava

ORIGINAL: Who is John "Bill" Hubbard, John William Hubbard? He was born July 2, 1956. He lived in Mayfield, Kentucky in 1989, Santa Rosa, California 1987, Union City, CA 1996, then moved to 13-3561 Nohea St, Pahoa, HI, 96778-8423 in 1996. The home is 3 Beds / 2 Baths
1,540 sqft, Built in 1995. His home is 2-3 blocks 60 yards adjacent to a lava puddle has lava on the front and side. He's been in many media articles about the lava flow stating he's climbed to the vents.

So far I've only searched his court records in Hawaii County. He has many vehicle violations for speeding, tailgating, unsafe lane changes, passing on the right. He has been charged with harassment twice by the state. He shoves and hits people. And of course the most recent one which involves a gun and shooting towards people. He also shoved another person to the ground. He's been forced to go to anger management classes and take counseling. It obviously hasn't helped. He was sentenced to jail and probation. Below are just some of the cases. He's a menace to society in his car and in person.

There is a second weapons charge against him. He's 6'8" and weighs 230 lbs. He "repairs underwater pipelines traveling all over the world. He does underwater welding at 800 to 1,200 feet deep. Hubbard has repaired pipelines in the North Sea, Central America, Mexico and California." He pleaded no lo contender or was found guilty in all of them.

He has two priors on the mainland.

Per his LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/bill-hubbard-9a800729/ he went to Santa Rosa Junior College 1988 - 1991 where he studied aviation. He is allegedly a Master of Technology in Offshore oil technology. He worked for Taylor Diving and Salvage in Ventura from 1977-1986. He started "Hubbard's Cupboards" 1996. He only has 25 connections.

"He said Hubbard’s felony record includes a 1976 drug trafficking conviction in Kentucky and a 1986 Oregon conviction for being an ex-convict in possession of a concealable weapon."

His history https://waynejoseph.wordpress.com/2009/02/23/deep-sea-diver-in-puna-bill-hubbard/ . "Born in Missouri, Hubbard moved to West Kentucky when he was nine. “My father was a game warden and an expert hunter and fisherman,” he said. “My dad had a small boat and I learned to water ski at age six.”

At age 12 Hubbard attend an all sports camp at the University of Tennessee where he was mentored in the triple jump by legendary coach, Ralph Boston. Boston was the gold medalist in the long jump in the 1960 Olympics and went on to win a silver medal in 1964 and bronze medal in the 1968 Olympics.

During his youth Hubbard hauled hay and did heavy farm work to earn money and the rest of his time was spent playing football and basketball.

In high school he received all state honors as an offensive tackle in football and made all district as a center in basketball.

Hubbard was so good that he received a scholarship to play football for the Kentucky Wildcats and was on the punt team. “I really had to use speed and quickness just to stay in one piece at that level, so I left school to pursue a career as a professional deep sea diver,” he said.

On New Years Day, 1996, Hubbard moved to Hawaii to remodel hi mother-in-laws house. “That was it, I couldn’t go back,” he said.

“My wife, Lorraine Carlina Corpuz, is from Hilo and after we married in 1992 it was an easy decision to move to paradise,” Hubbard said.

Hubbard went onto build his own home in 1997 which includes a custom wood shop which keeps him busy with a variety of projects.

This 52 year old continues to seek new adventures in his very accomplished life. Hubbard has already climbed Mount Lyell, 13,114 feet, in Yosemite National Park; he has climbed the Grand Teton in Wyoming, 13.770 feet, and has done numerous other hikes including the Grand Canyon.

“I have no excuse not to exercise,” he says. Today’s regimen includes calisthenics in the morning followed by either a five mile run or a 26 mile bike ride. Then he will swim for 30 to 60 minutes and in the evening he, his wife and two dogs will go for a 30 walk/jog.

Hubbard is also an avid skier, since age 23, and once or twice each year will go to Mount Bachelor in Oregon. “I am constantly thinking of deep powder and steep slopes and enjoy competing in Nastar giant slalom events,” he said."

The details of the cases are below by number.
