Did the Los Angeles Mormon Temple rip up their lawn to help save water? I hope so.

Mormon Temple, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, lawn drought, conserve water, Mary Cummins, real estate
Someone sent me a pic last week showing half of the Mormon Temple's huge lawn ripped up. I commented that you don't rip up your lawn in LA until December if you are going to re-seed, add manure. I hoped they were removing it.

Today LAist just posted an article stating they observed the same thing. Just now the Mormon Temple Los Angeles official website included a link to that article. I think they did remove this huge lawn to conserve water. Thank you, God!

This lawn was HUGE and served no purpose. No one even stepped on it or sat on it. It was purely ornamental. Such a huge waste of water. So glad they got rid of it. Everyone else needs to follow.
