UPDATE: 02/14/2020 Michael Avenatti found guilty of trying to extort Nike. Some people don't realize that threatening to expose someone if they don't give you money is the crime of extortion. Avenatti argued he was just playing hardball for his client. His client said he had no idea Avenatti would try to extort Nike.

02/01/2019 City Attorney will not file criminal charges against Avenatti. Next hearing March 13, 2019 in Santa Monica 8:30 a.m.

"The L.A. City Attorney just announced it will hold an informal hearing in which the alleged victim, Mareli Miniutti, and Avenatti will appear separately and talk about what happened back in November, when the woman claimed he got violent with her ... something Avenatti denies.

The City Attorney says the woman "will be advised of services available to her." As for Avenatti, the City Attorney says "The suspect will be informed that although we decline to file charges at this time, this matter remains open and we may file charges at any time prior to the expiration of the statute of limitations." per TMZ.

11/24/2018 This is from Michael Avenatti's divorce. Some of her filing is in the article. It states Avenatti is "hot tempered," "angry and vindictive" and "verbally abusive." He most definitely acts that was on Twitter. He threatens everyone with a lawsuit. His ex-wife later recanted her story. Most ex-wives do this when they are near settlement. Trump's ex-wife Ivana did the same. In her divorce she stated Trump pulled out her hair and raped her. Then they settled and she recanted.

11/21/2018 DA will NOT press felony domestic violence charges against Michael Avenatti. I kept checking the calendar every day and didn't see the hearing or case number. I only see that when someone won't be charged as arrested or there is a pre-charge plea to intervention. That happened with Villaraigosa's ex-girlfriend Lu Parker and was reported about here. It's now up to the City Attorney to see if he will be charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

11/20/2018 Mareli's husband is Michael A Miniutti age 44 who lives in New York. He worked for Green Power Switch, Mansion House Consulting Ltd, Deutsche Bank AG, Xandros Corp, Merrilly Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Paine Webber and Value Line Inc. Sounds like a stock broker. He went to the college of the Holy Cross, ESMT European school of management and technology and Queens college. He may be from New Jersey. He called the cops today on journalists whom he says were "harassing" him. He clearly knows nothing about the law. They have been separated since last year. He said she was always very nice and calm.

Avenatti just posted this. In regard to No. 1 what California law does someone violate by reporting name of DV victim? She filed her TRO publicly in her own name.  She made it public. She could have filed as Jane Doe but didn't.

Restraining order was filed yesterday against Michael Avenatti. This is just copy/paste from lacourt.org website. The woman who filed it is Mareli Miniutti. The docs aren't available online. I'm sure someone will go get a copy and post them.

11/18/2018 Avenatti hasn't shown up in the lacourt.org system or even the calendar yet there is a hearing date. He should have shown up by now. Maybe they will not be formally charging him. I'm sure they will be careful and do a full investigation as Avenatti is a well known attorney. Based on my experience it means he may not be charged or they will really investigate before they charge him and possibly harm his reputation and be liable.

The new restraining order case also has not shown up.

UPDATE: Michael Avenatti said he wasn't charged for anything and definitely not a felony. He stated this on Twitter today 9:30 a.m. Thursday 11/15/2018. He's an attorney. The entire family supports Nolan and not the victim! Even his Pastor wrote him a letter of recommendation. All of his family members support Nolan. In fact they state Nolan had a sexual relationship with an older woman when he was 14. Everyone said that negatively affected him. Why doesn't the family care about the victim? The parents even blame the victim for what happened! I did not highlight the document but I agree with the highlights. It sounds like the family blamed the victim and made her feel guilty for reporting it. That's why she supported her brother not going to jail. Very odd.

05/19/2017 He was arrested and was in jail less than a day. He will be out next year.

I just did the math. He was arrested 10/20/2016. He was in jail until he was found guilty 05/17/2017. He was immediately rejailed to serve his 240 days which I believe include time served. That means he'll be out by June 13, 2017. That would be less than a month in jail. I realize he's already been in jail about 210 days. Maybe it doesn't include time served? Turns out he had a $100,000 bail. He will serve 240 days from 05/17/2017 minus any days he spent in jail.

A man was sentenced on Wednesday, May 17 to the low term of three years, with all but 240 days suspended in favor of a grant of probation for rape of an intoxicated person, according to the Del Norte District Attorney’s Office. This sentencing is a decision that Del Norte District Attorney, Dale P. Trigg said he "could not disagree more with."

The DA said the man, 20-year-old Nolan Bruder, pleaded guilty earlier this month to the charge that he gave his 16-year-old sister high potency marijuana also known as “dabs” to smoke after she repeatedly resisted his sexual advances, until she reached the point of no longer recognizing him as her brother.

According to Trigg, Judge Follett said he believed the stigma of this conviction along with mandatory sex offender registration requirements would sufficiently deter Bruder and others in the community.

But Trigg was in disagreement.

“I could not disagree more,” Trigg said. “The message that this sends to our community is that sexual predators who get their juvenile siblings stoned enough can have sex with them without any meaningful consequence. That is not the message I want to send to our community,”

The DA said Judge Follett noted that the victim in this case took her own clothes off and was not unconscious. He also questioned whether there was sufficient evidence for a jury to convict Bruder, even with a video-taped confession Burder had given, admitting to the crime.

However, at the sentencing hearing, Deputy District Attorney Annamarie Padilla argued that Judge Follett should follow the Probation Department’s recommendation to send Bruder to state prison for six years, according to the DA.

The DA said that in the wake of the case involving Stanford swimmer Brock Turner, the legislature changed the law to make such crimes ineligible for probation. Turner was a Stanford University athlete who spent three months in jail for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman.

The DA’s office said Bruder benefited from the fact that the crimes pre-dated the change in the law, allowing Judge Follett to grant him probation.

But Trigg said Bruder’s crime is worse than Turner’s.

“In a lot of ways, this case is more egregious than Brock Turner,” Trigg said. “This defendant took advantage of a position of trust as this victim’s big brother. He knew she didn’t want to have sex with him.  She told him that repeatedly.  So he got her stoned on dabs he gave her until she didn’t even recognize him in order get what he wanted.”

Nolan's father is Matthew Robert Bruder born in Humboldt, California in 1965. His mother is Risa Renee Huchtmei Lowder born in 1962 in North Carolina. They married in Oregon in 1988. I won't mention his siblings of course. He was obviously still living at home.

Per Heavy he was arrested for beating up a relative in the family home at 2707 Charleston, Plant City, Florida. He was charged and found guilty of punching an elderly relative then kicking him when he was on the ground. He hit another female relative who tried to protect the older man. This was at 2:00 a.m.

PC 245 (A)(4) (4) Any person who commits an assault upon the person of another by any means of force likely to produce great bodily injury shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment.

6. PC 368 (B)(1) (b) (1) Any person who knows or reasonably should know that a person is an elder or dependent adult and who, under circumstances or conditions likely to produce great bodily harm or death, willfully causes or permits any elder or dependent adult to suffer, or inflicts thereon unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering, or having the care or custody of any elder or dependent adult, willfully causes or permits the person or health of the elder or dependent adult to be injured, or willfully causes or permits the elder or dependent adult to be placed in a situation in which his or her person or health is endangered, is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine not to exceed six thousand dollars ($6,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment, or by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years.

"Butler had attended Highlands High School from August 2015 to December 2016 and was a junior, Twin Rivers Unified School District spokeswoman Zenobia Gerald said Friday.

A district news release said he dropped out of the school. He played on the school’s football team in the 2015 to 2016 season and also participated in track and field, Gerald said.

Before his time at Highlands High, Butler was enrolled at Oakmont High School from August 2013 to the middle of February 2015, said Brad Basham, the executive director for personnel services at the Roseville Joint Union High School District. Basham said school records indicate Butler left the district after that time.

Matthew Tibbats of Roseville and Citrus Heights resident Robert Hills said they’ve both known Butler since the fourth grade, when the three attended George Sargeant Elementary School in Roseville.

The boys remained friends when they moved on to Warren T. Eich Middle School and later at Oakmont High school. Growing up, Butler was known as a class clown who didn’t take his studies seriously, Hills said."

18-year-old Neven Glen Butler was a football player at the high school where he is accused of fatally beating 86-year-old Fusako Petrus. He was on the Highland High School football team in 2015. He later dropped out. A school colleague of Butler stated he was the class clown who didn't take his studies seriously.

Neven Glen Butler was arrested the same day he was detained in an unrelated assault of a 92-year-old woman a few miles away, Sacramento sheriff's Sgt. Tony Turnbull said. She was treated at a hospital for facial injuries.

Homicide detectives tied Butler to the sexual assaults of Fusako Petrus, 86, and her 61-year-old friend earlier Wednesday while both were out for a walk, Turnbull said. Petrus died after she was badly beaten. Her friend was treated for injuries.

Butler faces six felony counts: murder, two counts of assault, two counts assault with intent to commit rape and assault by means of force likely to commit great bodily arm.

Neven Glen Butler was wearing a suicide prevention smock in court. It wasn't a "green jumpsuit" as media stated. Maybe he was under the influence of drugs. Then maybe when he found out what he did, he wanted to kill himself.

In court he rarely blinked. I believe they probably gave him some psychotropic drugs to calm him.
