Los Angeles cyber banging gangs killing more people - Mary Cummins

Los Angeles Times has a good piece on one of the reasons murder has increased dramatically in Los Angeles, California. It's mainly gang related murders. The cause appears to be online social media fueds, flame wars, Twitter fights, cyberbullying, threats that turn into in person encounters.

I wrote an article about the murder of USC graduate student Xinran Ji. While I was investigating the alleged murderers Alberto Ochoa and his "gang" the "100 $quad" I saw a lot of online threats with gang members for no reason at all. It was a bunch of loser trash talking kids trying to look tough by threatening to kill people online.

Alberto Ochoa aka "Kink Stylee" and his band of losers would just start posting crap about gang members on their pages. The real gang members thought they were just stupid little kids and refused to meet up with them for a duel on the streets.

Below is a Facebook exchange with what appears to be a real gang member who is an adult. Kink Stylee and his loser buddy Alfredo Velazquez try to call this guy out for absolutely no reason. "To fade" is to murder, threaten, disrespect. Soto calls Kink a "stupid little kid" which he is. Notice the wimpy little kids did not give their home address, just a street name.

Below is a "rap" that Alberto wrote and posted on Facebook.com.

For no reason this short punk ass kid wrote and posted this "rap" to try to look "tough." "Spray" means shoot. "H.S." is "hunnid $quad." Alberto actually stole that name from an older rap group. Alberto is bragging that he robs people like he tried to do with Xinran Ji. This kid is so stupid that after he robbed people he would post pics of what he stole bragging. He would then try to sell the phones on a few buy/sell groups. In the "rap" he brags about "smokin niggas brains," He and his band of merry losers did just that to Xinran Ji. They bashed his skull in. They murderered him.

Unfortunately we have seen these interactions escalate and become real life assaults, robbery and murder like what Kink did to Xinran Ji. What's more disgusting is Kink is having a great time in jail. He is like a hero in a way. He now has the ultimate street cred. Yes, these losers like this attention and criminal history. He and three other people beat Xinran Ji to death. I believe the main murderer was Andrew Garcia. He's 6'0 tall and probably did the most damage. Not only was it four against one but the loser gang bangers used weapons. What is upsetting is one of them was a 15 year old girl. Hard to imagine a female wanting to rob someone and use lethal force with weapons.

Something is very wrong with these kids. If you look at their parents, you can clearly see why the kids are losers. Parents were gang bangers, alcoholics, drug addicts, have criminal rap sheets, never aspired to anything more than living in section 8 housing on welfare with food stamps. They are happy with that lifestyle. Something drastic needs to change with these people or this will just continue.

Recent Santa Clara County criminal cases. He was not incarcerated. He was put in the jail for special needs inmates until they could find a bed for him at a mental health facility. This story is just so sad. I had a schizophrenic bipolar neighbor once. He got in trouble all the time when he was off his meds. Off his meds he was irritated, furiously painting, working, yelling singing. On his meds he barely moved and looked depressed. Mental illness is a horrible thing. He also went by the name Michael James Pipkin Tyree.
