UPDATE: 03/29/2017. I've done more research and can't find Joe Arpaio's parents' naturalization records. Per a 1930 census "Nicholas Cero Arpaio" born 1901 in Italy came to the US in 1923 and is naturalized per his own statement. He was living as a boarder. Below is the family tree.

In the 1940 census in Springfield, Massachusetts he again stated he was naturalized. His dad only completed the fourth grade. He states he works 60 hours a week. Joseph's middle name is indeed "Michele" and not "Michael." It's also the name of his grandfather. If anyone has found the naturalization records, let me know.

"Joe" Arpaio (born June 14, 1932) is "the six-time elected sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, which contains the state capital, Phoenix, and is one of the most populous counties in the United States. First voted into office in 1992, Arpaio is responsible for law enforcement in Maricopa County. This includes management of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), county jail, courtroom security, prisoner transport, service of warrants, and service of process."

Why are all these naturalized immigrants so against immigration? Do they believe they should not have been allowed in the country? Was it okay to let them in but just no one else after them? I just don't get it.

Sheriff Joe's dad was Nicola Ciro Arpaio. He owned the grocery store DelVecchio & Arpaio, Union Park Realty Inc and Union Car Wash in Springfield, Massachusetts. This was in 1965. He listed his occupation as "traveling salesman" at his Lodge the Order of the Sons of Italy in Italian and English. His address is listed as 21 Cedar, Springfield, Massachusetts which was a three unit 6+4 built in 1899. I believe it was recently torn down and is now the cemetery.

Why do immigrants hate other immigrants so much? What's even odder is Joe's daughter Sherry seems like a very nice woman who has four adopted children. One is black, one Mexican, one has down syndrome and the last is a blonde boy. His daughter doesn't have a problem with people of other races. His son Rocco was married to a Mexican or part Mexican.

I have a feeling that first generation immigrants got a lot of shit from white protestants and others than came before them. They were considered dirty, uneducated people. When these people finally come to power they treat others the same shitty way they were treated. You'd think you'd want to do the opposite and be nice to them as you know how they felt.

Joe Arpaio here calls immigrants, "dirty," "diseased," "lazy," "drug addicts," "alcoholics," "criminals," ..... I actually used to look up to the fact that I thought he ran the jails well. I thought he did a good job with animal control. If you take a closer look, that isn't the case. I think he's lost his way big time especially to hang out with the likes of Donald Trump.

The mystery of Ted Cruz's father's name "Rafael Bienvenido Cruz" - Hint, that's probably not his real name

I've sent communications to Ted Cruz's campaign and office asking about his heritage. No response. I've researched his heritage as many others have done the same. Ted Cruz, his father Rafael Cruz have not responded to the requests for clarifications from anyone so far. I assume it's because the truth is exactly as I and many others have found it to be. Ted Cruz's father's real name is not "Rafael Bienvenido Cruz." His real name is "Rafael Cruz Diaz." I believe Rafael Cruz assumed the name of "Bienvenido Cruz" so he could get a visa and passport stamp to leave Cuba. Because Cruz Sr admitted he had a criminal history he would not have been able to get a visa to go to the US. People with criminal histories especially back then could not get a visa to enter the US.

The real Bienvenido Gregorio Cruz y Lara was born March 22, 1939 in Havana, Cuba. His first name is "Bienvenido." His middle name is "Gregorio." His last name anglicized is "Cruz y Lara." This name means his father's last name is Cruz. His mother's last name is Lara. Spanish names are different than English names. Here's an article about Spanish names. As I'm Spanish and do ancestry research I'm all too familiar with this. You have to search multiple combinations, misspellings in order to find the correct records in English.

The only real record we have of Cruz Sr is his high school record from 1954. It states his name is "Rafael Cruz y Diaz." Some get rid of the "y" or add "de." He is 15 years old. I'll now translate the text to English to the best of my ability. It reads as follows top to bottom, "Republic of Cuba, Ministry of Education, Institute of Secondary Education of Matanzas (which is a county and city in Cuba). Director of the Institute of Secondary Education - High School - states (?) Rafael Cruz y Dias native of Matanzas 15 years of age and from (?) Matanzas and resident at A... of East Lanto and 33 Plaza and you state: that desires to be registered in the official lesson/teaching that grants this degree in the fourth year (high school diploma?). Agriculture, waterculture (raising fish)." Matanzas is located on the coast in a bay 55 miles from Havana. Agriculture and fishing were/are the main business of that area.

Cruz Sr's birth date is not on this record. The only records I find with the birth date of March 22, 1939 is for "Bienvenido Gregorio Cruz y Lara" Cuban passport number 12483 born in Havana, Cuba, visa issued April 27, 1960 admitted to US May 4, 1960. This person "Bienvenido Cruz" born 22 Mar 1939, died 31 Aug 2012 with a Florida SSN he received in (1974).

I believe Cruz Sr took the name of "Rafael Bienvenido Cruz" so he could get a fake passport to get out of Cuba. Cruz Jr admitted in his book his aunt Sophia got a fake passport to get out of Cuba. Sophia came here with the name "Sophia Lourdes Cruz." I believe the same name game took place as she admitted she had a criminal past and used a forged passport. With his criminal record in Cuba there was no way he'd ever get a visa. His real name as per his Cuban school records is "Rafael Cruz Diaz" or "Rafael Cruz y Diaz." I believe he used Bienvenido's name as Bienvenido was a male with last name "Cruz" born about the same time in Cuba. Cruz Sr was born in Matanzas, Cuba per his school record and people who knew him in Cuba. Bienvenido was born in Havana, Cuba. Rafael could easily tell the US embassy that his name just got mixed up somehow. I have the same problem with my long hyphenated last name i.e. Mary Katherine Cummins-Cobb. People cut my name off, only use one of my last names and not both or they run it together like one long last name. Most computers can't take a last name that long so it cuts off. The US Cuban embassy didn't exist from 1961 to 2015. It was just reopened. Maybe now they can dig up the docs.

Now if for some reason "Rafael Bienvenido Cruz" is Cruz Sr's real name with the birth date of March 22, 1939, that would mean he has a long criminal record in Miami, Florida for assault, weapons and drug dealing. That person's mugshots were up on mugshots.com

Illegal immigrants have a positive net effect on the US economy - Mary Cummins, Los Angeles, California

I see many people stating that illegal immigrants are a drain on the economy and society yet they never quote any statistics. What is the real net effect of illegal immigration? It's actually positive for the economy overall.

New York Times 2013 article "Do Illegal Immigrants Actually Hurt the US Economy?" http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/17/magazine/do-illegal-immigrants-actually-hurt-the-us-economy.html?_r=0 The next effect of illegal immigrants is POSITIVE. Let me try to explain in more detail than the article.

My family owned a construction salvage yard. We employed illegal and legal immigrants. THEY ALL PAID TAXES. In order to work for us they needed a Tax Payer ID number. These numbers are given to illegal, legal immigrants who need them to get a job and can't get a social security number. Payroll taxes are taken out of their salaries including SSI. They pay taxes and file a tax return.

One major thing most people don't know is that while they pay into the system they can't always take out of the system. They pay into social security but generally can't take money out of social security. Just think how upside down our social security would be without immigrants paying into the system?

Illegal immigrants also pay sales tax on everything they buy. While they may be poor they are major consumers. Many American owned businesses rely heavily on the purchases of illegal immigrants. They also pay check cashing fees, payday loan fees, hard money loans to buy a home and cars. If they own property, they pay property tax. Yes, they can buy a house and pay property tax. Property tax pays for schools, roads, public services.

Illegal immigrants are generally unskilled uneducated laborers. These people are willing to do the dirty, heavy lifting, hard work jobs such as construction work, maids, nannies, day laborers, janitorial, gardening, tree trimming... I have never seen a white American in line with the day laborers. I've never seen a white maid walking up the street to work. They have all been illegal Mexican immigrants.

While these illegal immigrants live here they pay rent, buy food, pay for utilities just like the rest of us. When they pay rent they are indirectly paying property tax which pays for schools, roads, government agencies and social services. If they own a car they pay to buy it, pay sales tax on the purchase/sale, pay for maintenance, repairs, insurance and gas. They are paying into the system just like we are.

Some say that some illegal immigrants get free education for their kids. It's not free. They pay rent or property tax while they live here. Some say they get free Medi-Cal, food stamps, welfare. This is completely false. They don't qualify. Even if they were legal immigrants, they still have to live here for five years to qualify. Most who are ill or injured go to cheap or free privately run non-profit clinics. They pay cash at the cheap clinics. They don't want to go to a hospital for fear of being deported.

A last myth is that they are "criminals, drug dealers and rapists." The FBI stated that most crimes are committed by white male citizens. This is from 2012. The reverse is actually most likely the truth. Because they are illegal they don't report crime against themselves. They are most likely to be the victim of crime because people know they will never report it. They've been the victims of muggings, robbery, assault, rape and murder. They've also been the victim of fraud most likely by employers, vendors. Again they don't report it. Many people rip them off especially in construction jobs. If they don't have a contractor license or work for someone who does, they can't win a lawsuit or collect.

I may post more articles. It's frustrating to see people not know the reality of illegal immigrants. Donald Trump is spreading mass misinformation about illegal immigrants. He is really one to talk as his grandfather was an immigrant and not a naturalized citizen for seven years. Almost everyone in Donald Trump's family is an immigrant including two wives.

We need a better process for making these people legal immigrants. They will be here no matter what because we need them as workers.

A last note "illegal immigrants" are not necessarily "illegal immigrants." It's illegal to enter the country illegally. One can enter the country with work, student, tourist visa then over stay your visit. That would be a civil violation and not criminal.

Donald John Trump's family tree has been updated. Everyone in a red square is an immigrant not born here. Some were "illegal" undocumented immigrants. Some were undocumented and became legal after five to ten years. That would only be I believe Donald's grandfather. Most Mexicans were born in what is now the United States of America. While Donald was born here, his mother, two of his wives, all of his grand parents were not. They're all immigrants from Germany, Scotland, Yogoslavia and the Czech Republic. My family has been in the United States a lot longer than Donald Trump's family.

His mother was born in Scotland as were her parents. His wife Melania was born in what was Yugoslavia. Wife Ivanka was born in the Czech Republic. His father was born in the US. His grandparents on that side all came from Germany. His mother and her ancestors came from Scotland.

His grandfather Frederick Trumph was born in Germany in 1869. He entered the US in October 1885 at age 16 with no trade. He became a citizen in 1892. That means he lived here as an illegal immigrant from 1885 to 1892? Donald's father and grandfather were both successful real estate investors owning apartment buildings and hotels. Donald is not a made man.

Here is document when Frederick Trumpf (real last name) came to New York from Germany in 1885. Back then names were written in script. Most names would be spelled phonetically. This is why there is so much variation in names in genealogy.

It's pretty hypocritical for Donald Trump to be calling everyone an immigrant when his family are also immigrants. Almost every person in the US is an immigrant. Only native American Indians are true natives.

Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary sold their convent at 3431, 3441 Waverly, Los Feliz for $15,500,000

Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Archbishop Jose Gomez, Katy Perry, and the owner of the Brite Spot are in disagreement over the sale of the Sisters' convent. The Medievalish former Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary convent is located in the hills of Los Feliz. The archdiocese emptied it out in 2011, against the will of the nuns. Now Los Angeles Archbishop Jose Gomez says he has the right to sell the place and he plans to sell it to pop star Katy Perry for about $14.5 million, reports the LA Times. Two of the last five living nuns say they have the right to sell the place and they've already sold it to local restaurateur/aspiring hotelier Dana Hollister for about $15.5 million.

Dana Hollister is legally in a purchase agreement with the nuns who own the property. The Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary broke off from the Catholic church in the 1960's. I know because they were the nuns at my catholic school. The Catholic church has always treated the nuns as second class religious citizens below the male Priests. Nuns are the teachers and nurses in the church. The church treats them like maids.

This group of nuns split from the church because they didn't like being treated like lower class and didn't want to take instruction from the church. When they broke off they bought their own property. There are quite a few convents which they own. The archbishop of LA Jose Gomez is trying to say the church owned the convent. They kicked the nuts out in 2011. I don't know how they managed that. I do know that the church has kicked a lot of the elderly nuns out. Nuns work for the church their entire lives in exchange for having a place to stay when they are old.

I hope Dana Hollister's lawyers make sure the deal goes through for the nuns. The church has kicked nuns out of other convents including Good Shepherd Catholic Church. They turned the convent into a visitor's center yet left the priests and monsignor's house intact. Go, Nuns!
