Mormon Temple, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, lawn drought, conserve water, Mary Cummins, real estate |
Today LAist just posted an article stating they observed the same thing. Just now the Mormon Temple Los Angeles official website included a link to that article. I think they did remove this huge lawn to conserve water. Thank you, God!
This lawn was HUGE and served no purpose. No one even stepped on it or sat on it. It was purely ornamental. Such a huge waste of water. So glad they got rid of it. Everyone else needs to follow.

The mormons actually surprise me. I remember a piece on the daily show about how they are housing homeless people. It's actually cheaper to house people than it is to leave them on the street to get sick and turn to crime/become victims of violence.
ReplyDeleteIt costs more to leave a person homeless than it does to give them a modest and safe place to sleep. A mormon city in Utah was doing just that. Wow. It makes perfect sense, yet most Christian people think they should be punished by being left to live with their "bad decisions", or something.
So yea, strangely I am becoming a fan of the Mormon Church. I never would have thought I'd say such a thing, but there it is!
