ORIGINAL: Here is a copy of the eviction complaint along with her lease. I removed her social security number. Juanita only owed $161 which is one month's rent. She is on Section 8 rent for the elderly. Section 8 pays most of her rent which is about $900 a month. Juanita pays $161/month total for rent and utilities. Her unit was 2400 Kurt St #314, Eustis, Florida 32726. The case is 35-2017-CC-003793-AXXX-XX FITZGERALD, JUANITA Defendant 11/06/2017 County Civil TENANT EVICTION CLOSED filed in Lake County, Florida.

I believe that Juanita is maybe embarrassed or a little confused about the rent. It's also possible her social security ran out. They don't calculate that someone will live this long. Surely a GoFundMe can get her money for a few years of rent.

Why would the police, Franklin House, jail, court, judge...arrest this old lady over $161 rent? They started the eviction after she was late only two days.
