$250 million home at 924 Bel Air, 718 Nimes for sale, Bruce Makowsky - Mary Cummins Real Estate Appraiser

$250 million, $250,000,000, 924 Bel Air, 718 Nimes, Los Angeles Bel Air, 90077, California, Bruce Makowsky, BAM luxury group, most expensive home, united states

DISCLAIMER: The home and land are not for sale for $250,000,000. The $250,000,000 gets you the home, land and all contents, i.e. furniture, art, cars... Some journalists wrote articles saying that homes are selling for $250 million in Bel Air. No, they are not. The home and land by itself would sell for a lot less. Consider they bought the property which already had a large home on it for $11M in 2013. It had 4+8 6,898 sf home with sauna, library, media, projection,  maid rooms, pool, 4 fire places, built in 1926 with a killer view.

"It has all the hallmarks of a Big Deal house: 38,000 square feet spread across four floors, 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, three kitchens, a 40-seat movie theater, an infinity pool with a swim-up bar and 270-degree hilltop views from downtown to the ocean.

The 60-year-old lives in a 27,000-square-foot Beverly Park mansion once leased by the late pop icon Prince and made his fortune selling handbags on QVC before turning to real estate six years ago. He’s built nine homes so far and furnishes them to reflect his own extravagant travels, interests and tastes."

"Real estate developer Bruce Makowsky (of BAM Luxury Group) largely builds properties for billionaire buyers, and he designed this home "on spec"—without a buyer in mind—but with the confidence that it would inevitably entice another billionaire. His assurance wasn’t overshot, as the house has already attracted more than half a dozen potential buyers after less than a day on the public market."

In an article Bruce Makowsky said that yachts where rich people live for maybe two weeks a year cost $300M, $500M. Why wouldn't rich people want to spend even more on their home where they list the rest of the year. I actually thought that same thought 20 years ago. I was amazed the super rich didn't build or buy super opulent compounds. And today they do. The home behind my place is 80,000 sf with every imaginable amenity you could ever want.

More photos of the property.

They have changed the address to 718 N Nimes Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90077. I don't know if they included the lot next door. Here is the plat map of 924 Bel Air. For some reason I can't find their permits.
